SKY express Expands Direct Connections Between Greece and France with New Athens–Lyon Route
AnnouncementDec 23, 2025SKY express, the Greek airline, inaugurated on Monday, 15 December, its new direct Athens–Lyon connection, further strengthening its presence in the French market and expanding its international network. The route operates on a regular basis twice a week, every Monday and Friday, using the state-of-the-art Airbus A320neo and Airbus A321neo aircraft.
With the addition of this direct connection, SKY express now offers year-round direct flights from Athens to Paris and Lyon, while during the summer season it operates direct flights from Heraklion to Lille, Nantes, Marseille, and Lyon. Through this expanded connectivity, SKY express contributes to the growth of both tourism and business flows between Greece and France, offering passengers more high-quality travel options.
The launch of the new route also marks the completion of the integration of six new destinations (Hamburg, Berlin, Lyon, Lisbon, Madrid, and Tel Aviv), bringing the airline’s total international network to 27 destinations and confirming its strategy of dynamic and targeted expansion abroad.
At the same time, SKY express remains the only Greek airline serving the country’s largest domestic network of 33 destinations, ensuring reliable connectivity across Greece.
