SKY express: Dynamic Entry into the Iberian Peninsula with New Direct Athens–Lisbon Route
AnnouncementOct 30, 2025SKY express, the Greek airline, further strengthens its international network and Greece’s connectivity with Europe by launching a new direct flight between Athens and Lisbon. Flights will operate three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with brand new Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft, with an average age of just 3.9 years. These modern aircraft offer reduced environmental and noise impact, fully aligning with the airline’s commitment to sustainable development.
A warm welcome at Lisbon Airport was attended by members of the Greek Embassy, senior airport executives, as well as SKY express Founder Mr. Ioannis Grylos and company representatives, highlighting SKY express’ continued focus on expanding its international markets and promoting Greece as a high-quality, attractive year-round destination.
Lisbon joins SKY express’ international network, which by the end of the year will include 27 international destinations, offering travelers seamless journeys with premium comfort and services. The airline’s schedule will be further enhanced with new direct connections to Madrid, Hamburg, Lyon, and Tel Aviv, as well as Thessaloniki–Düsseldorf and Heraklion–Tirana routes. At the same time, SKY express remains the only Greek airline maintaining the largest domestic network in Greece, serving 33 domestic destinations.
