SKY express once again transfer the Holy Light across Greece

Alexandroupoli, Heraklion, Corfu, Chania, Mytilene, Rhodes, and Santorini will receive the Holy Light via SKY express aircraft.

With scheduled flights, SKY express, awarded as the “Airline of the Year” 2025 (ERA), will once again transfer the Holy Light this year from Athens to seven destinations across Greece, connecting the four corners of the country.

The Holy Light is expected to arrive on the afternoon of Holy Saturday at Athens International Airport “El. Venizelos” on a government flight from Jerusalem. It will then be transferred to Alexandroupoli, Heraklion, Corfu, Chania, Mytilene, Rhodes, and Santorini via SKY express flights.

Since 2017, SKY express has consistently contributed to the transport of the Holy Light from Athens to the rest of Greece, supporting the continuation of an important religious tradition.

At the same time, on Good Friday and Holy Saturday, on all domestic and international flights bound for Greece, crew members will welcome passengers by offering them Easter candles.
