Information on the Entry/Exit System (EES)

AnnouncementApr 17, 2026

SKY express informs its passengers that as of 10 April 2026, the European Union’s new Entry/Exit System (EES) is fully operational.

The EES applies to third-country nationals travelling for short stays (up to 90 days within any 180-day period) and is implemented at the external borders of participating European countries. Entry and exit movements are now recorded electronically, replacing in large part the manual passport stamping process.

During the first entry, travellers will be required to provide biometric data (fingerprints and a facial image). This process may result in longer processing times at border control.

Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport well in advance of departure and to ensure that all travel documents are valid and ready for inspection prior to travel.
