AnnouncementOct 10, 2025

With a warm welcome, senior executives of the Greek airline SKY express greeted the arrival of its 15th Airbus and 29th aircraft in total, a cutting-edge Airbus A320neo, delivered directly from the Airbus production facility in Toulouse. Its arrival marks another important step in the company’s growth trajectory and reaffirms its strategic choice to consistently invest in advanced technology and innovation.

With the addition of the new Airbus A320neo, SKY express continues to operate the youngest aircraft fleet in Greece, with an average age of just 3.8 years for its Airbusneo fleet. Investing in a modern and reliable fleet is an integral part of the company’s vision to continuously enhance the level of its services, always keeping passengers at the heart of everything it does.

Specifically, the new aircraft features comfortable leather seats, integrated USB ports, a 50% lower noise footprint, and next-generation CFM LEAP-1A engines that deliver 20% lower fuel consumption and 20% lower CO2 emissions compared to the previous generation.

It is worth noting that the company recently announced the addition of six new international destinations to its network, as part of its ongoing strategy for outward-looking and international growth,** reaching a total of 27 international destinations**. At the same time, SKY express remains the only Greek airline operating the largest domestic network, covering 33 destinations across Greece.

Mr. George Lioumpis, General Manager of SKY express, stated: “The delivery of the new Airbus A320neo marks yet another step in our ongoing path of growth and evolution. For us, each new aircraft is more than just an investment, it’s a commitment to our passengers and to the environment. SKY express is a company that never compromises. We evolve with consistency, invest in excellence, and always move forward with our eyes set on the future.”
