Travelling with a pet

Carrying a small pet is possible on any Sky Express route if this transportation is not subject to restrictions under applicable law and does not jeopardize flight safety in accordance with applicable international and domestic regulations and flight safety guidelines. The ability of your pet to travel in the cabin or luggage compartment depends on the weight of the animal and the size of its transport cage. However, your pet will travel safely and comfortably, whether in the aircraft’s cabin or aircraft’s hold. The reservation for your pet’s transportation can be made no later than 24 hours before the departure of the flight, either “online” or by contacting the Sky Express service centre.

The pet/animal’s health book must be presented for inspection and the pet/animal must have been fitted with the required ID microchip.

In case you are travelling with an infant, you are not allowed to travel with a pet in cabin as well.

Remember that if you are carrying a pet, you should be at the check-in point at least one hour before your scheduled departure time, and you must have your pet’s health booklet to be checked.

If the pet is not accompanied by the owner, you must provide a written transfer license from him/her.

Transporting animals in the aircraft hold (weight more than 5 kg)

The following animals can travel in the cabin: Dogs and cats weighing up to 5 kg (total weight including the transport cage). Trained guides for visually impaired people are allowed to travel in the cabin.

Useful notes: You must transport your animal/pet into a special animal cage with a maximum size of 40 cm x 25 cm x 25 cm.

There must be enough space for the animal, which must remain in the transport crate for the entire duration of the flight. The transfer crate must be large enough for the animal to stand, move and lie down.

The transfer crate must be placed and remain under your seat throughout the flight.

Animals should be clean, healthy, harmless, odorless, not pregnant and not disturbing other passengers.

Trained guide dogs

Trained guide dogs for visually impaired people travel in the cabin free of charge and do not need to be in a transport crate. To travel with a “guide” animal, you should call the Sky Express service centre or make your reservation online and then call the Sky Express service centre to confirm the transport of the guide animal. The booking must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled departure time of the flight.

Carriage of animals in the cabin (up to 5 kg)

Animals that can travel in the aircraft storage area are the following: Dogs and cats weighing more than 5 kilograms (total weight including the pet transport crate) as well as hares and rabbits.

Useful Notes

The animal/pet must travel in a special transport crate with a maximum size of (55 cm x 23 cm x 40 cm).

Animals other than dogs, cats, rabbits and hares are not allowed to travel on Sky Express flights.

The animals carried should be clean, healthy, harmless, odorless and not pregnant.

The animal/pet must travel in the special transport cage throughout the flight and the passenger carrying it must ensure that it has enough food and water for the entire travel.

The conditions in the aircraft storage area are similar to those in the cabin. It is not possible to visit the hold of the airplane during the flight
