Flying alongside the Hellenic airforce and soaring the Greek sky

SKY express, the leading Greek airline had the honour of flying alongside the Hellenic Airforce aircraft for another year, during the commencement of this year’s celebration of the Hellenic Airforce. The celebration took place on the 5th of November of 2023 in honor of the patron of the Hellenic Air Force, Archangel Michael, in Palaio Faliro. The event was attended by the Minister of National Defense, Mr. Nikos Dendias, the Chief of the Hellenic Air Force General Staff, Air Commodore (Ret.) Themistocles Bourolias, the Chief of Tactical Air Force, Air Commodore (Ret.) Georgios Fasoulas, and many officials.

In the airspace above the beach of Palaio Faliro the two state-of-the-art SKY express aircraft AIRBUS A320neo (SX-NIG) and ATR 72-600 (SX-NTE) showed their dynamic presence taking part in the impressive formations with the Hellenic Airforce aircraft, C-27, F-16 and Mirage 2000-5.

With an astounding synchronism and in perfect collaboration the pilots of the Hellenic Air Force and SKY express gave a unique show that left everyone attending the event in awe. The captains from SKY express side were Mr. Antonis Christodoulou, Mr. Eleftherios Helmis (AIRBUS A320neo) and Mr. Gregoris Karaousoglou and Nicolas Vranas (ATR 72-600).

SKY express: ALONGSIDE THE HELLENIC AIRFORCE AND ITS PEOPLE WITH SIGNIFICANT INNITIATIVES

1. Renewal of Discounts for another year
   SKY express continues remains by the side of the people of the Hellenic Air Force, showing its appreciation and gratitude to the people that guard the national airspace. In order to express its gratitude, SKY express has extended the significant discount (25%) for all types of charters for all active-duty personnel, officers, and non-commissioned officers of the Hellenic Airforce for another year.
2. Sponsorship of Postgraduate Studies for the Hellenic Air Force Personnel
   As trusteed and believers of excellence, broadening horizons and continuing to further knowledge and ethos, SKY express has since last year committed during last years Hellenic Air Force celebrations to sponsor the full fees for the postgraduate studies of two members of the Hellenic Air Force for the academic year 2023-2024. The sponsored individuals have commenced their postgraduate studies in the Department of Industrial Management & Technology (IMT) at the University of Piraeus and in the MSc in Applied Economics and Finance at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, respectively.
3. Equipment Donation to the Hellenic Air Force
   SKY express has also proceeded with the donation of special equipment to the Hellenic Air Force. SKY express continues to contribute and actively help in ensuring high results and innovative systems for the Hellenic Air Force.
