Sky Express Announces New Interline Agreement
with Middle East
Sky Express is proud to announce a new Interline Agreement with the national airline of Lebanon and one of the leading Middle Eastern carriers, Middle East Airlines. This will allow passengers’ easier connections between the Beirut-based airline’s destinations and Greece. The specific agreement is already effective as of June 1st, covering routes between Greece and Lebanon, and expanding the travel opportunities for the passengers of both airlines.
This partnership has already enabled Middle East Airlines to offer its passengers further connections, providing more travel options and improved access to unique destinations. Under the new agreement, Middle East Airline passengers can now book their flights –including the Middle East and Sky Express segments – on a single ticket, and check in their luggage through to the final destination. Moreover, all connecting passengers can enjoy complimentary access to Sky Express’ lounge at Athens airport during their connection. From its home base in Rafik Hariri International Airport in Beirut, Middle East Airlines flies to 32 international destinations in Europe, Middle East and West Africa, covering 1080 destinations in 177 countries.
Sky Express’ President and CEO, Mr. Theodoros Krokidas stressed that “We are pleased to sign this Interline agreement with Middle East Airlines and aim to improve our partnership to maximize the travel opportunities offered to our passengers, through our wide domestic flight network. Moreover, we strongly believe that this partnership will also bring enormous benefit and tremendous value to the local economy. We only hope that this step is just the first on the way to further enhancing relations between the two airlines in the future.”
